My work explores the concepts of gaze, identity and intimacy by emphasizing the cultural and social factors that influence how the female form is portrayed. 

Inspired by how shadow can highlight and hide features through the use of light and shadows, I sought to highlight my friend’s form through light and shadows and to capture what she wanted to express through the language of her body. Her form representing both her vulnerability and her strength. 

I want to show my friend in the purest form, her fragility and her hidden sides.
