Kati is short for Katalin. She is my mum.

From all the teachers we have in life our first one is our mother. They teach us about values, morals, respect and caring. They are the first to give us strength and guidance when life gets in our way. 

Or at least this is my experience. Since leaving my country I don’t have the chance to see her as much, so a few years ago I started taking portraits of her whenever we meet. This is a collection of images that span over a six year period, and capture her the way she lives in my memory: strong and fond of life.
