30 Years - Four Generations, 2022 

This series of four images give a glimpse into the lives of four consecutive generations. A poor but hard-working grandmother in Hungary, who began her work as a weaver and ended it as a seamstress, but she was happy to have a grandchild at the twilight of her life. The aforesaid grandchild, in the next picture with her mother, smiling happily. As life in Hungary became increasingly difficult, the political era changed, and those who were honest and hard-working found it hard to prosper among the many fraudulent and criminal people. The granddaughter, already grown up by that time, decided to move to England. She was followed by her parents, who had already gone through half of their lives, but they also longed for a new beginning. The change was not easy for any of them, and only the birth of the fourth generation brought real reassurance. Erzsébet (Elizabeth) - Beatrix - Edina - Emily. Four names, four women, four generations, four pictures - 30 years. One of them has passed away, but she is still part of my life. They are my family.
